Matanzas on the Bay launches summer prix fixe lunch menu

Summer special includes three-course lunch for two

Matanzas on the Bay on Fort Myers Beach is launching its summer prix fixe lunch menu, featuring a three-course lunch for two.

Available July through September, summer lunch specials at Matanzas on the Bay are served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays. Guests will have their choice among a selection of Matanzas on the Bay’s popular appetizers and mouthwatering entrées with a slice of decadent Key lime pie for dessert, offered for $40 per couple.

The summer prix fixe lunch menu includes:

Choice of appetizer to share

– Calamari – hand crafted and flash fried, served with marinara sauce

– Conch Fritters – ground conch, green peppers, pimentos and bam bam sauce

– Crispy Crunch Shrimp – in-house creation hand-tossed in seasoned rice crispies with red pepper cherry jam for dipping

– Beer Battered Onion Rings – hand-dipped onion rings, served with sriracha ranch

Choice of two entrées

– Coconut Shrimp – rum- and coconut-dipped shrimp with a red pepper cherry jam

– Fish Taco Wrap – fried white fish, pineapple coleslaw, diced tomatoes, guacamole and cheddar cheese

– Half-pound Matanzas Burger – chargrilled half-pound burger made to order

– Club Sandwich – toasted whole wheat, lettuce, tomato, bacon, turkey and American cheese with bacon aioli sauce

– Choice of side – pineapple slaw, sliced local tomato, French fries, garlic bread, homemade chips, Chef Dave’s potato salad

Dessert to share

– Homemade Key lime pie – tart, tangy and made from scratch with an Oreo crust

Additionally, Matanzas on the Bay offers two refreshing cocktail options for the summer, the Key Lime Colada, a frozen blend of tart Key lime rum and creamy piña colada, and the Matanzarita, a blend of tequila, fresh lime juice and sour mix served frozen or on the rocks.

Guests can choose to dine indoors or on the outdoor deck, accompanied by a waterfront view and live musical performances daily. Free car parking and boat dockage is available for guests traveling by land or sea.

Matanzas on the Bay on Fort Myers Beach will celebrate Father’s Day on Sunday, June 20, offering an all-day dining special from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and live music for dads and guests to enjoy.

In addition to its regular menu options, Matanzas on the Bay will offer a 14-ounce slow-roasted prime rib with au jus and horseradish sauce for $30, which includes a garden-fresh vegetable and choice of side. Toast to dad with happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m.

Nestled along the back bay of Fort Myers Beach, Matanzas on the Bay offers an idyllic setting for those treating their dad to a Father’s Day celebration. On the menu is Matanzas on the Bay’s twin stuffed cold water lobster tails, paired with vegetables and served with a choice of side for $37. The feature will be available from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., while supplies last. The full menu is also available.

Matanzas on the Bay on Fort Myers Beach is celebrating Mother’s Day with all-day dining and drink specials on Sunday, May 9, accompanied by live performances for moms and guests to enjoy.

Matanzas on the Bay will offer its lobster-encrusted snapper, topped with a lemon wine sauce and served with asparagus and choice of one side, for $29. The featured dish is available from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., while supplies last. The full menu is also available. Guests can also raise a toast to mom with a glass of Vista Point chardonnay, which will be available to moms for $2.

Matanzas on the Bay on Fort Myers Beach will celebrate Cinco de Mayo on Wednesday, May 5 with all-day dining features and live music in the evening.

Festive appetizers on the menu for Cinco de Mayo include pico de gallo, loaded queso French fries and Dave’s con queso dip. The pico de gallo is homemade, fresh-chopped and spicy, served with tortilla chips for $8. The loaded queso French fries feature crispy fries topped with queso dip, bacon bits, shredded cheddar and diced tomatoes for $10. Dave’s con queso dip melds a creamy cheese sauce with diced jalapeno, spinach and pimento and is served with tortilla chips for $9.

For lunch, the fish taco wrap features fried white fish, pineapple coleslaw, diced tomatoes, guacamole and cheddar cheese and is served up with refried beans, rice and sour cream for $13. Also on the menu are shrimp or chicken quesadillas with blended cheese, salsa, sour cream, refried beans and rice for $14.

For lunch or dinner, the seafood chimichanga includes a lightly fried tortilla filled with shrimp, crab and homemade Monterey cream cheese, served with rice, refried beans and a side of sour cream. The dish is available for lunch at $16 or dinner at $19.

Matanzas on the Bay’s Cinco de Mayo menu will be available from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., while supplies last. Drink specials include $4 Coronas and $6 house margaritas on the rocks, also available all day long, with regular Happy Hour from 3 to 6 p.m.

Matanzas on the Bay on Fort Myers Beach is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with festive dining and drink specials on Wednesday, March 17, accompanied by scenic waterfront views and live entertainment in the evening.

Starting at 11 a.m. on St. Patrick’s Day, Matanzas on the Bay will feature Chef Dave’s Famous Corned Beef and Cabbage with carrots, creamer potatoes and dinner roll, available while supplies last. In place of its traditional buffet-style service, the St. Patrick’s Day special is served plated for $17. The full menu is also available. Drink specials include $5 pints of Guinness, $7 Bushmills and Jameson, also available all day long, with regular Happy Hour from 3 to 6 p.m.

With a scenic view overlooking the waters of Matanzas Pass, the evening will be enlivened with live music from 5 to 9 p.m. Free car parking and boat dockage is also available for guests traveling by land or sea.

Matanzas on the Bay is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a dinner feature and live music at its intimate waterfront setting on Fort Myers Beach.

On Feb. 14, sweethearts can enjoy the baked salmon, a tender and flaky fillet topped with a creamy jumbo lump crab imperial and served with a choice of side for $28. The Valentine’s Day dinner feature will be served from 4 to 9 p.m. with Happy Hour from 3 to 6 p.m. Seating is available on a walk-in basis, and Matanzas on the Bay’s wine list and full menu are also offered.

Live music will be performed throughout the evening with Sailor Larry taking the stage from 5 to 9 p.m.

A romantic destination for any Valentine’s Day date, Matanzas on the Bay is nestled along the back bay of Fort Myers Beach with seating available indoors and along the outside deck. Free car parking and boat dockage are also available for guests.

Matanzas on the Bay is ringing in the New Year on Fort Myers Beach by offering New Year’s Eve dining specials and live performances for guests to enjoy on Thursday, Dec. 31.

Matanzas on the Bay will offer two featured dinner specials for New Year’s Eve, including the crab-crusted butterfly hogfish, served with a lemon-cream sauce and choice of one side for $26, as well as the Chairman’s Reserve black angus prime rib, a 14-ounce cut of high-quality beef served with choice of one side for $29.

New Year’s Eve dinner specials are served from 4 to 10 p.m. with Happy Hour from 3 to 6 p.m. Seating is available on a walk-in basis, and Matanzas on the Bay’s wine list and full menu are also offered. Free car parking and boat dockage are also available for guests.

Matanzas on the Bay will also feature a special New Year’s Eve performance from Mary Winner from 5 to 9 p.m.

Matanzas on the Bay celebrates 35 years

Matanzas on the Bay, best known for fresh seafood and waterfront views, is celebrating 35 years on Fort Myers Beach.

Established by owners with a passion for beach history, Matanzas on the Bay maintains the essence of Old Florida. The restaurant and our adjacent 28-room inn today feature a contemporary, coastal-casual setting that pays tribute to Fort Myers Beach. You can see countless pictures on display dating back to our location’s earlier days as a seafood processor and marina.

Over the years, the restaurant has undergone several expansions to the kitchen, dining areas and upper deck. We also created a patio for special events and expanded the main dock that provides deep sea access. A recently completed renovation in honor of our 35th anniversary also introduced refreshed décor, new flooring and a revitalized outdoor deck overlooking the waters of Matanzas Pass.

A commitment to quality and community has been our “recipe” for longevity. That’s why our menu features locally sourced products from Blue Star Seafood Company, Pair-A-Dice Produce and Fort Myers Brewing Company. These fresh, local ingredients give guests a true taste of Southwest Florida.

In addition, we give back to our community, advocating for local initiatives supporting the military, children, health and the environment. Matanzas on the Bay has provided many free dinners and hotel rooms to soldiers. We have also hosted fundraisers for Operation Open Arms, Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, among others, to help make a difference locally.

What started as a small restaurant operation 35 years ago is now a beach destination with more than 75 staff, and several team members whose time with Matanzas dates back to our early days in the 1980s.
