Matanzas on the Bay to host musicians, music fans for Island Hopper Songwriter Fest Sept. 27-29

Drink, food specials on deck for festival weekend

Matanzas on the Bay is among eight sites on Fort Myers Beach hosting the final weekend of the 2019 Island Hopper Songwriter Fest, a multi-day music festival that features more than 80 singer-songwriters from around the country.

Music lovers can enjoy drink and food specials at Matanzas on the Bay throughout the weekend, with all Blue Chair Bay specialty drinks on special for $7 and buckets of Landshark for $15. With the purchase of a Blue Chair Bay drink, guests can also enjoy half-price appetizers, choosing among Matanzas on the Bay’s popular dishes including beef satay skewers, coconut shrimp, bacon-wrapped scallops and more.

Matanzas on the Bay has announced the following performance schedule for Island Hopper:

Friday, Sept. 27

  • 7 p.m.: Johnny Bulford, Heidi Raye
  • 8:15 p.m.: Hunter Smith, Ayla Lynn

 

Saturday, Sept. 28

  • 2:30 p.m.: Ashley Ray, Megan Linville
  • 4 p.m.: LaLa Deaton, Lena Stone
  • 6 p.m.: Rachele Lynae, Jordan Minton
  • 7:30 p.m.: Ava Suppelsa, Carly Tefft

 

Sunday, Sept. 29

  • 1:30 p.m.: Jared Mullins, Keefe Klug
  • 3 p.m.: Gabrielle Macafee, Cassidy Daniels

 

Island Hopper is a multi-city music festival that attracts thousands of music lovers to Southwest Florida. The event starts Sept. 20-22 on Captiva Island, then moves Sept. 23-26 to historic downtown Fort Myers before closing Sept. 27-29 on Fort Myers Beach.

As our community faces the current COVID-19, and in line with the Governor’s recommendations, our dine-in options are temporarily unavailable. However, we're still ready to serve you with our take-out options. We've temporarily adjusted our hours from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. We have plenty of parking for you to pull in, place an order and take it to go, plus our dock can accommodate orders to-go via boat.
